BVDU and a US university join forces to offer a nanotechnology course
Bharati Vidyapeeth University (BVDU) will present a postgraduate course in nanotechnology consisting of conducting part of the studies in India and the remainder, including research, at an American university. The course will be launched next academic year 2011-12.
"We have reached a formal agreement with the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG), USA, to facilitate our maiden foray into the field of nanotechnology," said BVDU Chancellor Shivajirao Kadam, announcing the new graduate program at a press conference.
As he pointed out: "Students who apply for admission to this course will study for 14 months at the BVDU campus and the remaining 10 months at UNCG." They will also receive a stipend of up to $ 1,000 a month during their studies at UNCG, he added. "The course program is being designed by the BVDU teaching staff," he said.
